Vocational Major

The Senior Vocational Major Work Related Skills class attended a "Resume and Rolls" session with Helm Youth Services Hawthorn. As part of their studies, students are required to produce a 'career portfolio' which includes an up-to-date resume. 

Students heard from Becca Pickering, Better Futures Youth Worker about how to produce an attention grabbing resume. 

Becca has a background working in recruitment and students were able to get tips and advice on how to put together a resume as a school leaver. She worked with students to help them identify their skills, strengths and career objectives. Students reported that the session was extremely helpful and the 'rolls' were also very tasty.
