From the Desk of the Y12 Manager

Gita, Claire and Marcus

Term 3 is crunch time in Year 12 as most studies will complete their content and assessment by the end of this term so the 2 weeks in Term 4 can be focussed on exam revision. So students must make EVERY SECOND COUNT by using Wednesdays to work on their folios at school, catch up on missed classes and do redemption, complete missed SACs and if an incursion or excursion is arranged, attend that to expand their knowledge. Some students also have timetabled study periods in Period ¾ and this is another opportunity to catch up and complete coursework or prepare for SACs.

Term 3 is also the time to time to finalise tertiary choices and enter them into the VTAC website. Assistance is being given through lunchtime workshops and Mentor. Mentor activities this term will focus on exam preparation workshops, the RACV driving school workshop, wellbeing activities, VTAC and SEAS applications and Careers. The Year 12 Mentor also writes the student’s school reference for the end of year. We are very optimistic about the batch of 2023, are there to support them through this important year and look forward to celebrating their last day at school - Celebration Day on October 17 followed by the graduation ceremony on Valedictory on December 14.

Best regards,
