Next week we have course selection day for Year 10’s. Some families have already identified that they can’t attend, green sheets and VET enrollment forms can be submitted to Mr Crosbie or Mr Bristol before that date if needed but all selections must be entered by 22/08/19.
For further details contact Graeme Crosbie (College Careers practitioner) or Greg Bristol (VCE/VCAL co-ordinator)
Year 9 Students
The response from our parents has been amazing. In the first week of interviews, 50% of them involved having at least one parent present. Our visiting counsellors, Maggie and Faye, have been absolutely blown away by the involvement and interest from parents. There is only one week left for these. If your child doesn't have an interview booked but has completed the survey get them booked in now!
Parents of students who have done the survey will have been surprised by the detail of the reports provided. If you haven’t seen this report it is available online, ask your child to log in and show you.
Smith Family Financial Literacy program
Unfortunately for reasons beyond their control, The Smith Family had to postpone the workshops for the remainder of the year.
Lighthouse GV Health Careers Expo
Interested Year 11’s are invited to participate in a careers expo at GV Health, Shepparton’s largest employer, on Thursday 22nd August from the start of the day until HG. There they’ll showcase all kinds of jobs and careers they employ including: trades, administration, finance, IT, catering, gardening, medical and allied health, human resources. It’s a career day for those who want to go straight from school into employment as well as those who want to train in Uni or TAFE. Information and permission forms are available from Ms Goonan in the Art Tech office.
