Barry Plant & Melbourne Victory FC Clinic- Carwatha Football College 

On Monday 18th of February 2019, Carwatha Football College students and primary students in grades 2 & 3 were lucky enough to be involved in a Melbourne Victory FC clinic. Recognised as the most supported and currently the most successful club in the league to date, Victory has won four A-League Championships, three A-League Premierships, one Pre-Season Challenge Cup and one FFA Cup, the only club to have won all four domestic trophies in the modern era of Australian soccer. 

The clinic at Carwatha college was filled with plenty of fun and games and included a visit from three professional A League senior football (soccer) players from Melbourne Victory FC.  Defenders Storm Roax, George Neidermeier & striker Jai Ingham took time out of their day by engaging in a clinic with Carwatha College students and teaching them to love the game. Students had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the event. 

The day also included a special visit from Barry plants bear and Fairy who also took part in giving Carwatha college students a big High Five!

CFC MINIROOS PROGRAM (Year 1-3 Students)

*Commencing Term 2 2019*

The CFC Miniroos program is a new and exciting program commencing in Term 2 2019 engaging our youngest students into a fun and exciting football introductory skills program. This program will give students in grades 1- 3 the opportunity to get involved in the CFC Football program every Monday lunchtime and help them develop skill coordination and a love for sport.

THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES:

• Training all year round on grass and indoor surfaces
• Professional Football Training (Monday lunchtime session - 1 session per week)
• Working with highly qualified and enthusiastic professional coaches
• Special appearances from previous and current A League players & coaches
• Working in a secure and safe environment with like-minded student athletes
• Fun introductory sports football activities

MINIROOS COST:

PER TERM = $130 Per Term 

PER YEAR = $390 (Term 2, Term 3, Term 4)

FOOTBALL DIRECTOR:

LJUBAN (LEWIS) PALINIC

Ljuban (Lewis) Palinic holds an AFC ‘A’ Coaching Licence and is currently A League team Melbourne Victory U15s Academy Head Coach. Ljuban has worked with various professional youth coaches from Europe. He has previously held the role of Technical Director at NPL club Dandenong City SC and has just under 10 years of coaching experience both at youth and senior level. Ljuban has also been the assistant coach at Bentleigh Greens SC senior team and won the NPL Championship in 2017. Ljuban is a passionate youth coach always looking to improve future talent of youth players in Australia.

CFC TECHNICAL DIRECTOR:

TIMOTHY DAKIS

Tim brings a wealth of football knowledge and understanding of youth development who will lead our program to improve the football values and skills of our young players. Tim is the current NPL Nunawading FC Miniroos Technical Director and head foundation coach for the National Skill Acquisition Program and also leads the development of U12/13/14 junior players for over 10 years .

Other experiences include FC Barcelona Academy coach, Tim Cahill Head coach and is also part of the Australian national team for Deaf Football Australia. He has also held coaching roles in high performance at the FFV Champions League program for over 5 years and heads the Junior school football program at Caulfield Grammar School also for over 10 years. Tim is a very passionate football coach and a true professional in his work.
