The Monash Access Mentor Program 2019

On Tuesday 19th February our year 11 and 12 Carwatha College Mentees attended Monash University Clayton campus for their induction and training day, for the Monash Access Mentor Program 2019.

We had 13 students from year 11 and 12 who attended on the day and they had the opportunity to meet local schools and interact with likeminded students. The induction and training day gave the Carwatha College Mentees an opportunity to unpack their Mentoring Toolkit and build life skills in relationship and communications workshops.

The next step for our Carwatha College Mentee’s is to meet their Monash Mentors through an in-school launch which will be held late March 2019.

The Access Monash Mentoring Program provides a mentoring service for our Carwatha College year 11 and 12 Mentee’s who aspire to university study. It assist’s students in ‘decision-making’ and preparation for university and careers by matching them with high-achieving Monash students to work in a one-to-one mentoring relationship.
