Congratulations to the Blackfriars Secondary Swimming team on finishing 4th in the SASSSA B Division Carnival held at the State Aquatic Centre Marion on Tuesday 5 March. The “Hounds,” led by elite swimmer Noah Caton finished just 2 points behind 3rd placed Pulteney Grammar.
The team of primarily Water Polo players focused on their swimming skills, leaving well respected rivals St Michaels, Scotch, Rostrevor and Mercedes in their wake.
Congratulations to all involved. A special thanks to Mr Scott Hillman, who officiated on behalf of Blackfriars for the entire evening.
Thankyou also to Mr Jon Harmer for the organisation and running of the team!
Picture – Year 9 Jack Slaven was a standout performer at the SASSSA Swimming Carnival, finishing in 1st place in both the 50m backstroke and freestyle.
