Library News

The students have been receiving their student ID cards this week, and now they will be needing these for borrowing, printing and photocopying. We encourage the boys to keep their card with them at all times.

As the term moves on, I am seeing more of the middle school classes for book talks and lessons on how to use the library databases and catalogue for research. There is a new look to the catalogue, and we have added Weblinks to the search facility. This gives the boys access to dozens of useful and reliable websites to help with their research.

In the primary library, the students have settled into their library visits, and it is great to see them enjoying this time. I am especially enjoying reading stories with some of the younger classes.

The libraries also continue to be hives of activity during recess and lunchtimes, as the boys come in to study, read, or play games. They are lively places to be at these times!
