Fashion Show

On 17 October, the College held its annual Fashion Show in conjunction with the  Art and Design Exhibition, which as always, proved to be a massive success! On the night, budding designers from Years 10 to 12, showcased their original works, paraded on the catwalk by their amazing models. The show commenced with a fabulous performance by the VCE Unit 1 & 2 Dance class, who created the atmosphere for the incredible night to come. The Year 10 students then kicked off the show, displaying their sustainable fashion garments as well as pieces inspired by Australian fashion designers.

Our Year 11 cohort was just as wonderful, showcasing their upcycled garments and collaboration pieces.  The collections they produced were all based on women of Strength and Kindliness.  Styles inspired by Frida Kahlo, Collette Dinnigan, Spell and the Gypsy, and Sass & Bide all featured to celebrate our college motto.

The VET Applied Fashion class, whose work was extremely eye-catching on the catwalk, paraded their embellished garments, on which they worked tirelessly for the whole year. Finally, the climax of the night was the Year 12 section, where the designers and their models had the chance to strut their mind-blowing designs, which they had spent countless hours on with many sleepless nights!  The Textiles students’ designs wowed the audience who went above and beyond in supporting the students on the night.

We would like to thank everyone who made this night possible, as the students greatly appreciate the opportunity to present their creations to their friends and family. All students involved should be extremely proud of the effort that went into all of these garments, as the 2019 Fashion Show was undoubtedly one to remember!
