Art and Design Exhibition

The Art and Design Exhibition was a great success! The atmosphere on Opening Night was extraordinary - so alive! The VCE Unit 1 & 2 Dance performance was an exhilarating start to the evening, followed by the Fashion Show, which is always a highlight of the night. We viewed many creative and unique designs from students who showcased their work on the fantastic models who took to the catwalk.

On display in the Mary Dalton Hall were works produced by students across various year levels, from Art, Studio Arts, Visual Communication, Media and Textiles. The Function Room had the Year 12 Media films showing as well as the Year 7 Digital Technology work.

All works featured a broad range of ideas, techniques and intentions, contributing to both the individuality of students as well as the collaborative works. Throughout the Exhibition, the recurring theme of Hospitality: Welcoming all was consistent as students’ creative thinking reflected fresh perspectives of this theme. As Art Leaders, we appreciate and acknowledge the persistence, patience and passion that the students and teachers put into, not only this night, but the whole year’s work.

Every student should be incredibly proud of the work they have put into Creative Arts and be enthusiastic to take on new and exciting challenges next year. We would like to thank the Art Learning Area and other valuable helpers for their dedication for making the Exhibition the fantastic night that it was.
