Shannon Turnbull: Intern Principal

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the Staughton College community.  My name is Shannon Turnbull, and I will be working as an Intern Principal here at Staughton for the next five weeks. I am currently completing a course called ‘Unlocking Potential: Principal Preparation Program’ and the internship that I am undertaking at Staughton College is a key part of this. During my time here, I will be working within the senior management team to develop my own leadership knowledge and capabilities.

My home school is Ballarat Secondary College (Woodmans Hill Campus) where I hold the role of Assistant Principal. Woodmans Hill is significantly smaller than Staughton with only 315 students from years 7-12. Within my home school, I also teach Year 11 Legal Studies and Psychology.

I have already been made to feel very welcome by the staff, and I hope to meet and get to know as many students and families as I can during my time here.

I am excited to learn about the Staughton community and be a part of the learning that takes place here.
