Homework Club, WAR and Junior Tutoring

Homework Club, WAR and Junior Tutoring

Here at Staughton, we continually strive to support and encourage our students with their learning progress. One way in which we do this is through the Homework Club and WAR programs.

Homework Club is an after school homework area that is held in the library from Monday to Thursday, from 3:10 till 4:00 pm. It is for students in years 7-9, and aims to provide a quiet and well resourced learning space for students to complete work, homework, study, and exam preparation.

WAR (Work and Attendance Redemption) runs from 3:20 till 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and provides a study and work environment for our senior students, years 10 to 12. WAR is run in D12 and is supervised by one of our Staughton teachers who can assist with work and maintaining a productive environment.

At Staughton, we have a 90% attendance policy and Homework Club & WAR contribute to the attendance of the individual student to ensure the 90% minimum is maintained.

Staughton also offers Junior Tutoring for English and Mathematics every Wednesday afternoon in the library. This gives students in years 7- 9 an opportunity to seek extra feedback and support with their literacy and numeracy homework. This runs from 3:15 to 4:00 pm in the library.

Please contact Brooke Martinuzzo for Homework Club questions or Sarah Occhipinti for any WAR questions.
