Oro (gold)
The annual BSC Swimming Carnival was held on March 1st at Oak Park Aquatic Centre.
It was a perfect day for it! The carnival showcased some of BSC’s finest swimmers who earned valuable points for their Houses - Caagar (green), Lan Se (blue), Oro (gold) and Abyad 9white). There was plenty of enthusiastic competition ranging across Year 7 to Year 10 - as well as the highly anticipated Teachers V Students Relay!
At the end of the day Cagaar took out the win and were able to ring the Brunswick Bell. It was a great day out for all and a wonderful demonstration of Brunswick Spirit.
Caagar Conquers!

House Captain Caagar (green)
The Swimming Carnival was super fun! It was great to see Caagar House dominate and take out the House Championship. I got to hold up the Brunswick Bell and ring it for the first time ever – it was so exciting!
Ring ring, Go Caagar (with a silent C)!!!

The Swimming Carnival is always a great day out. It is great to be able to catch up and socialise with teachers and other students.

Abyad (white)
Representing Abyad as House Captain for the first time was exciting for me. Competitive swimming, fun aquatic activities and mini golf - it was awesome to see all these events at this year’s carnival! It was impressive to see the BSC teachers dominate the Student vs Teacher relay race - the House Captains definitely need to do some extra training for next year!
Go go Abyad – bring on the Athletics Carnival!

Year 10
It was hot - a good day to be by the pool!

House Captain
Lan Se (blue)
It was exciting to see a new lot of Year 7 students join BSC and show great enthusiasm at the Swimming Carnival. We had great weather and fun for all students even if they were not strong swimmers. There was healthy competition as well as an opportunity to meet and mingle with other students in a casual relaxed atmosphere. Well done to all the Lan Se swimmers – see you next time at the track!

Year 10
There was plenty of shade under the trees so even though it was hot, we could make the most of being at the carnival. It was a great social day.
Xavier Venville
Year 10
I couldn't compete because I had an injured ankle, but plenty of students did. Being there was a lot of fun even though I wasn't competing.
