Teacher - Instrumental Music

Last month, the Brunswick Secondary College Greek Band (Cocurricular Program) performed on the main stage at the Lonsdale Street Festival. This festival, which is the biggest annual Greek cultural festival in Australia, celebrated its 30th anniversary this year.  Our students performed a variety of popular Greek tunes from the past and it was a great experience for all involved.

Congratulations to Alessandro Rizzo, Stevie Pierrakos, Damian Christakis, Yianni Pavlakos and Joseph Buyukoz on another fabulous performance.  Many thanks also to Jeanna Vithoulkas , who hosted additional rehearsals and Steph Eleftheriadis for his photography of the event.

I really enjoyed being part of this - stepping outside of Brunswick and representing the school at a big event is exciting.  

It is great to have the opportunity to take our music to a wider audience and the community were really into it.  You can tell from the photos that we really had a great time!
