On the 14th, 15th and 16th of June 2 students participated in Cats the Musical at Darebin Arts Centre. The sheer devotion and hard work from Jamie-Marie and Charlotte  has been outstanding.

2019 Youth Forum

On the 19th of June, Nourseen, Rianna, Adrian, Jayden, Jake and Daniela represented the College at the 2019 Youth Forum, where they explored two key areas with the aim of obtaining sustainable outcomes and maximising opportunities to both professionals and local young citizens. On the day the topic of “What Matters to young people and perceptions of community safety” was discussed with the aim of measuring where youth services delivery could be adding value and whether we could support bridging gaps between young people and the wider community. Our students gave great insight to people of the community, well done!

SALVO'S

Thanks to the generosity of our Brookside Students and Families, 9A were able to deliver boxes of food for the Salvo’s market place ( a free supermarket for people who are homeless).

They were also able to make 50 health packs containing essential personal care items for men and women, and a few winter warmer packs for people sleeping rough or struggling this winter! Not to mention a bunch of Coles gift cards that went to those most in need! The staff at the Salvo’s were very grateful!!

Thanks again Brookside for supporting our students and well done to 9A who did a phenomenal job raising funds and organising the collection for the Salvo’s!

ASRC

A huge thank you to all students and families who supported us and brought in groceries and made a gold coin donation at the end of term casual clothes day for the ASRC.

We were able to deliver a whole heap of food and hand over $1300 to support the much needed work of the ASRC! They really do make a difference to people seeking asylum and refugees that are doing it tough!
