Opening School Mass

Monivae Colleges' Opening School Mass was held on Monday 13th of February. Father Chris McPhee msc, the Provincial of the MSC, was the Celebrant for the day. He was joined by Father Ted McCormack msc, with Father Paddy Mugavin being an apology.

It was pleasing to see the College stadium full of Students and Staff from Monivae as well as visiting schools which included St Mary’s Primary school Hamilton, St Joseph’s Primary school Coleraine, and St Joseph’s Primary school Penshurst. It was also pleasing to see two members of the Class of 2022 attend as part of their new roles as Learning Support staff within local Primary Schools.

Shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday saw us selling delicious pancakes. This year the Student leaders wanted the proceeds to go to the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

Ash Wednesday Liturgy

Ash Wednesday Liturgy was another School wide event with the students encouraged to take time to stop doing things that they can live without, as well as think about doing more good things for others.
