Alumnae Olympians

Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics: Reminder of Resilience, Human Kindness and Hope

The Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics certainly provided us with many moments of joy as we witnessed people from different parts of the globe coming together to celebrate incredible acts of persistence, strength and endurance.

It was great to cheer on our alumnae and follow their success at the Games.

Anabelle Smith (2010)

It was such a thrill to watch Anabelle qualify for the 3m Springboard Diving semifinal. She was competing at her third Olympic Games, following on from her bronze medal win in Rio.

Anabelle is a great supporter of the school and is always willing to speak to the girls, including when she joined a Year 10 Homeroom google meet when she was waiting to board the plane for the Tokyo Olympics!

Paige Greco (2015)

We are incredibly proud of Paige Greco's determination and hard work, which resulted in Australia's first gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics. She broke the World Record twice on the way to winning gold in the C3 3000m individual pursuit cycling.

Paige then went onto win Bronze medals in the C1-3 time trial and C1-3 road race. An incredible effort! Congratulations Paige from all at Sacré Cœur.
