Introducing our committee members

Krystal Salloum (2018)

I joined the Sacré Cœur community in 2013 as a Year 7 student. During my time at the school my favourite thing was certainly the people – the staff became some of my greatest mentors, and the students some of my best friends.

I always loved getting involved in all the exciting aspects of student life. This included representing the school at Saturday netball with the Sacré Cœur Netball Association, participating in House events (proudly Stuart!) and performing in shows like the 'Pirates of Penzance’ and the original jukebox musical ‘Stella’. I was also very humbled to have led the student community as School Captain in my Year 12 year, alongside Ruby De Luca - who is still one of my closest friends.

Since leaving school, I have gone on to study a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Management) at The University of Melbourne, alongside a concurrent Diploma in Languages (French). My wonderful French teachers at school, Madame Holland and Madame McGee, and my Year 11 Exchange to our sister school in Nantes, have instilled in me a love for the culture, language and people! Currently completing internships in Marketing and HR, I am hoping to pursue a career in one of these fields after graduation.

Joining the Alumnae Association committee during my university years has been a lovely way of staying connected with the school in a different capacity. I have learnt and gained so much from meeting like-minded alumnae from different year groups. It has been so special to find that the Sacré Cœur feeling of family and belonging certainly extends beyond the school years.
