Hello everyone,

Well, 2022 has kicked off again with some expected challenges but thankfully extensive planning and common direction have seen the College move forward positively. Well done to all involved, with our sons and daughters transitioning back into fulltime face to face education successfully.

Our first meeting for the year went well (via Zoom) with good attendance and healthy discussion.

Thank you to all who took the time to attend. You will read this every time I write to you, the caregivers and parents of students of St Mary’s; this is your committee, your voice and your connection. Come along and engage, you are welcome and there is no pressure to take on a role as they are already filled for the year. All that we ask is your thoughts and ideas to make your child’s journey while at the College a better one.

This year will get busy, not only in the College but within sport, STEM, the arts and other areas students are participating in as representatives of St Mary’s. Students and College staff are encouraged to contact us at smw.familyconnect@cns.catholic.edu.au if you are seeking financial support from Family Connect in 2022.

Family Connect would like to thank Leader of Pedagogy, Tammy Pickup and Leader of Technology: Learning & Innovation (Acting), Grant Peppler for hosting the Parent Information Session - Canvas on Tuesday 22 February.  The online event was well attended by nearly 80 parents.
