1976 Time Capsule

Students Exploring History
Narrandera Cottage Museum
On Friday, some of our students had a special chance to watch the opening of a time capsule at the Narrandera Parkside Cottage Museum. It was a lovely day filled with curiosity and a unique look into the past.
During the event, students saw the time capsule being carefully dug up from the ground. Inside, they discovered a fascinating collection of items from 1976, including:
- Letters, papers, and magazines
- Bottles
Music recordings, such as a cassette tape and an LP record
Unfortunately, some of the items had been damaged by water over time. However, the dedicated team at the museum is working hard to save and restore as much as possible.
This experience gave our students a wonderful opportunity to connect with local history and appreciate how people lived decades ago.
