Year 11 Retreat

The Year 11 Retreat was very enjoyable and the enthusiastic participation by students was exceptional. Their feedback speaks for itself. We had a great time, regardless of the cold weather, and the memories we made are special to everyone who was there. Here are a few student comments:

An adventurous and daring retreat.

The highpoints for me were where Mr Rigby and Mr Hume unpacked their suitcases to tell their stories.  Also, the liturgies and prayers helped me to connect closer with God and friends. 

 

Loved the experience.  Five stars. 

 

At the start I thought there was no point being here but then time went on and I realised there was so much more to a retreat then writing on paper. You find out who you are as a person, you find inner peace and I will forever hold this as a special core memory. 

 

As a whole, the Year 11 Retreat was enjoyable giving opportunities to connect with my friend circles alongside others that I generally wouldn’t hangout with. 

 

Learning about other stories and struggles people had to overcome. 

 

Mateship. Creating memories and sharing laughs throughout the retreat was what made the time here special. 

 

It was a really good retreat which helped me know the grade better. 

 

Good experience; taught us a lot. 

 

Retreat was amazing in majority of areas. 

 

I had never properly talked to many teachers before, and it was interesting seeing their true selves and not scary teacher mode. 

Relay for Life – John Picco, Service Captain 

Relay for Life was a huge success. Despite pushing through brutal cold and rainy weather, our team stayed the course and kept moving on the track. Thanks to everyone's incredible dedication, energy and community support, we raised an astonishing $12,549. 

Even better, this total made us the highest-earning youth team this year. Every single wet step and chilly hour was completely worth it to support cancer research, honour survivors and remember loved ones. 

A massive thank you to everyone who walked, cheered and donated to make this achievement possible.

Vinnies Sleepout

Vinnies Sleep Out is on Thursday September 3. We have had great interest so it looks like it will be another successful year. It should be a fun and meaningful ev.
