Ready for the Road
Help your learner driver hit the road with confidence
Supporting a learner driver can feel like a big responsibility, but you don’t have to do it alone.
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is bringing the Ready for the Road program to Cairns on Monday 17 August.
These free workshops give parents, carers and supervisors practical tips, expert advice and real-world insights to make supervised driving safer and more effective.
You’ll learn about safe driving habits, what to expect in the driving test, and how to better support your learner on their journey from L to P.
📍 When: 5-7pm, 17 August 2026
📍 Where: Barlow Park Stadium (Corporate Room)
