Middle School

Welcome back to an exciting year for our Year 9 and 10 students of 2026. We would like to warmly welcome our new students and their families to MGSC.

Tuesday 10 March - Year 10 Elevate session (period 1)

We remind our students to ensure that they are on time to form groups each morning. This is an opportunity to develop connections with peers and be informed of upcoming events within the college. 

We are looking forward to a year busy with activities that compliment and enhance your child's ability to reach their potential as a lifelong learner. 

Year 9 Elevate session

On Tuesday 10 February our Year 9 students were involved in sessions run by Elevate as part of the “Job Hunt series”. Students were guided on the importance of creating a CV and cover letter as they prepare to launch into the working world with part time jobs. Follow up sessions will be facilitated by the English Domain, conducted within the English classes over the coming weeks.

Year 10 Work Experience reminder

A gentle reminder for students to be proactive now in seeking work experience placements. This will be a great experience that provides students with information that helps them to make the best choices for their Year 11 and 12 study program to set them up for what’s to come beyond school. All year 10 students participate in Work Experience during the same week: 18-22 May 2026. We strongly encourage students to ensure that they find a work experience placement before the due date: 23 March 2026.
