Biomedical Sciences Day

Fourteen, Year 10 and Year 11 students were out on an excursion to GTAC on August 14th to learn about STEM pathways related to Biomedical Sciences.

At the start of the session, Professor Jennifer Wilkinson-Berka, Head of Biomedical Sciences,  gave an inspirational introductory speech encouraging students to pursue their dreams in the field of Biomedicine. Our students had a chance to interact with student ambassadors from the School of Biomedicine, University of Melbourne.

Students took part in a Lab rotation activity at GTAC Doherty laboratory. They participated in the ‘Under the Cover Slip – Science meets Art’ activity. Later in the afternoon, students were taken on a tour of Harry Brookes Allen Museum of Anatomy and Pathology followed by an engaging experience of a VR activity.
