Captains Corner

By Amelia 6C

Hello there, students, and families! We hope you're all doing well and having a fantastic time as we head into the last part of the school year. We've got some exciting news and updates to share with you from our school!

Our school is busy getting ready for the end of the year. We're putting the finishing touches on our yearbooks and portfolios. Plus, there are some fun competitions and contests coming up that we know many of you are looking forward to!

Last week, our Year Three students had an amazing adventure at Camp Toolangi Day. We're pretty sure they had a blast, and they can't wait for Year Four camp next year! We also had an exciting Uno tournament, and we want to give a big congratulations to all the winners so far.

This term, we have some exciting sports events, including summer round-robin sports and the Year Six boys' netball team. We wish all the participants the best of luck, and remember, safety always comes first!

Speaking of Year Six, they'll be taking part in the cricket gala day. Congratulations to those who were chosen, and a big thank you to Mr. Parker and Ms. Lawlor for making the selections. In addition to round-robin sports, you can also enjoy some soccer round-robin games.

We had a blast with extracurricular activities, especially the Halloween dress-up day. There were so many spooky and creative costumes! Our Environmental JSC (Junior School Council) tackled some important environmental issues with the Melbourne council. We're proud of their efforts to make a positive impact.

We also had the 2024 school Captain interviews. Before we continue, we want to congratulate all the students who applied and those who made it to the interview process. A big thank you to Ms. Lui, Mr. Catalano, and my fellow school captains for conducting the interviews.

If you have any questions or need more information, please reach out to your class teacher.

Thanks for reading, and we hope you have a fantastic term ahead!
