ECO TEAM News

The Frankston High School Eco Team have been continuing to work on their strategy to help make schools in Victoria more sustainable by engaging with their local politicians.  Earlier in the year they met with Peta Murphy MP and Paul Edbrooke MP at Peta Murphy’s office in Frankston to raise their concerns and to discuss possible adjustments and solutions for schools.

More recently, they spent time at the Victorian Parliament where they once again met with Paul Edbrooke MP, but also the Minister for Energy, Environment & Climate Change, the Minister for Education and the now premier of Victoria, Hon. Jacinta Allan MP.  Here they spoke maturely about the need for better action and education in terms of sustainability in schools across the state.

The Eco Team is now being supported by Paul Edbrooke MP to help create a bill that will be taken to parliament for discussion in the hope of becoming legislation.  The Eco Team will be once again heading down to their local member’s office to help create the bill in coming weeks.’
