PRINCIPAL's Report

Dear Parents/Carers, Students and Friends

Thank you to the Class of 2023

Congratulations to each and every one of our Class of 2023 on reaching a significant milestone in their academic journey.  From the early days of their high school experience, they have grown not only in knowledge but also as individuals, maturing into the exceptional young adults they are today.

Throughout their time, they have faced numerous challenges, both academic and personal. They have weathered the storms of exams, the ups and downs of friendships, and the ever-changing landscape of our world including Covid-19, lockdowns and remote learning.  They have emerged from these experiences stronger, wiser, and more prepared for the adventures that lie ahead.

I would like to thank our School Captains: Kelly Gilbert and Hayden Van Kuyk, along with our Deputy Captains: Alex Shacklock and Kai Malcolm for their work and leadership with other student leaders and being great role models for all of the student population.  I would also like to thank all Year 12 students involved in SLC, Sports Leadership, Interact Club and our Eco Team.  They have all continued to play a pivotal role in working with our student cohort and staff in further improving our great school.

I would also like to thank my Year 12 Voice class for their connection and participation each fortnight, along with the seven Year 12 students who attended the recent trip to Japan, what a wonderful experience sharing time at our Sister School with you all.

I want to express my gratitude to all of our teachers and staff, and in particular, our Senior School Team: Ms Tiffany Greenhill, Ms Kelly Mitchell, Ms Brit Harvey, Mr Ryan Jones, Ms Carla Caminiti, Mr Shaun Rodan, Ms Elrick, Mr Mitch Land, Ms Leanne Milne, Ms Caloryn McIver, Ms Tina Thomas, Mrs Sharon Bourne, Mrs Jess Bambridge, Ms Michelle Beirouti, Ms Claudia Tymms, Ms Mel Donegan, Mrs Sharon Koning and Ms Kelly Lin who have supported and nurtured these young minds.  Their dedication and hard work has played a crucial role in shaping these outstanding individuals.

Class of 2023, remember that you will always have a home here.  Your school is a place that will forever celebrate your achievements and stand as a source of support whenever you need it.

Congratulations once again, and may the journey ahead be filled with endless possibilities and boundless success.  Farewell, Class of 2023.  We are immensely proud of you, and we cannot wait to see the incredible impact you will make on the world.
