Swimming Carnival

The College Swimming Carnival was held on the 12th of February at Oak Park Leisure Centre. The event was both a selection trial for our interschool swim team and a fun day for all students to earn points for their houses.  

The 2025 theme, “80s Throwback,” was embraced by all, and we saw many staff and students dressed up in their best retro outfits and house colours. 

It was a very hot day which meant lots of people willing to jump in the pool to cool off - whether it be for a race, a water volleyball game, or a turn at the water slide. 

The day started with a relay race with multiple staff and student relay teams represented. The staff won bragging rights for another 12 months! 

A massive thank you to all staff who assisted on the day, and well done to all students who represented our school so very well. It was a great celebration day for Maribyrnong College. 

Congratulations to the WARATAH HOUSE for taking out the trophy again and for achieving the most points awarded on the day.
