A special day on our school calendar is Thursday 3rd April.

It's our annual "Live for Lily Day" at Maribyrnong College. The school has supported the Live for Lily foundation for over 10 years in efforts help try and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Our students came dressed in casual clothes - wearing PINK and contributed with a gold coin donation! Students participated in a gold coin entry challenge, testing their skills against current ASP students in activities like basketball and badminton. The event also featured a successful sausage sizzle, icy poles, and pink face painting, all organized by our amazing students and staff. Beanies and scarves were also for sale with all money raised from the day going to the Live for Lily charity. Live for Lily is a nonprofit charity dedicated to raising funds for childhood cancer research. Families can also make tax deductible donations to the Live for Lily Foundation here.

It was lovely to see the entire school get behind this important cause, proudly wearing pink in support. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff, student leaders and ASP students, this special day wouldn’t have been possible without your and hard work.

Families can also make tax deductable donations to the Live for Lily Foundation here.

The Live for Lily foundation raises funds by organising an annual endurance bike ride and a biannual gala ball in Melbourne where the wider LFL community is celebrated and given further opportunities to support the funding of research. In 2025 the annual Ride for Lily will see a group of 30 cyclists ride from Port Macquarie in NSW to Noosa, QLD - a total of 1000km over 7 days. The team includes MC staff Mr Hester along with the three Walklates!
