Year 9 Urban Experience

In Weeks 4 and 5 of Term 1, half of our Year 9 classes took part in the Urban Experience Program, which involved research and learning activities throughout the Melbourne CBD.
Students immersed themselves in the city's sporting, culinary, historic, and cultural landscape, whilst also learning about the plight of people experiencing homelessness.
The program is designed to foster independence, empower students to navigate the challenges of a large city, encourage timeliness, and inspire learning beyond the classroom.
The activities visited by students included the:
- MCG
- Melbourne Aquarium
- The Big Issue
- ACMI
- Queen Victoria Market
- Old Melbourne Gaol
The program will continue in Term 2 for the remaining Year 9 classes.
