Orange PLC Update

Orange PLC – A Fantastic Start to Term 4!
Orange PLC has had a fantastic start to Term 4! Our Senior Pathways students have jumped straight back into an exciting range of activities and programs, continuing to build their independence, confidence, communication and important life skills as they prepare for life beyond school.
We have already enjoyed some wonderful experiences, including an engaging session with the Back to Back Theatre group, where students explored creativity, self-expression, communication and working together. Our students also had a fantastic time participating in the Cricket Gala Day against other schools, demonstrating teamwork, sportsmanship, turn-taking and positive social interactions.
Another highlight was our third excursion to Gordon TAFE as part of our Zero Plastics program. Students continued developing their understanding of recycling, sustainability and the process of turning plastic waste into useful new products. This hands-on experience provided valuable opportunities to practise following instructions, problem-solving, working collaboratively and developing practical work-related skills.
Our Business Enterprise programs are also in full swing! Students have been busy running our lunch order and café programs, building valuable skills in food preparation, customer service, money handling, communication and teamwork. Our laundry program continues to provide opportunities for students to practise every day independent living skills, including sorting, washing, drying, folding and completing tasks in sequence. Through our ongoing plastics program, students are developing responsibility, organisation and independence while contributing positively to our school community.
In Personal Development, students continue to explore important topics including personal safety, hygiene, respectful relationships, consent and making safe, responsible choices. These learning experiences support students to build confidence, self-awareness and the skills needed to navigate everyday situations with greater independence.
We are looking forward to an action-packed, fun-filled final term of 2026, with plenty more exciting learning opportunities, celebrations and memorable experiences still to come!
