YEAR 10
Planning Your Journey

Head of Year 10 smcqueen1@cns.catholic.edu.au
As we continue to support students in developing the skills needed for future success, we would like to emphasise the importance of being punctual to school and to every class.
Punctuality is more than simply arriving on time—it reflects organisation, responsibility, and respect for both learning and others. These are essential habits that students will carry into their senior schooling, employment, and wider life.
We also encourage students to remain in class for the full duration of each lesson to maximise their learning time and minimise disruption. Where possible, students should plan to use bathroom breaks during recess and lunch. This helps ensure lessons run smoothly and that all students can remain engaged in their learning.
Arriving late or leaving class unnecessarily can result in missed instructions and reduced learning opportunities. Consistent punctuality and preparedness, on the other hand, set a positive tone and support student success.
We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations at home by encouraging routines that help students arrive on time and be ready to engage fully throughout the school day. Together, we can support students in developing strong habits that will benefit them well into the future.
