College Leadership Team

Dear Parents and Carers,

At St Mary’s, it is important to us to continuously develop great teachers through support, reflection, collaboration, and purpose-driven practice. We are committed to creating an environment where teachers can grow professionally and personally, so they can inspire our students to succeed.

We help them to achieve this by providing:

• Regular professional development workshops

• Coaching and mentoring programs

• Peer observation and feedback opportunities

• Access to modern teaching strategies.

Our teachers are always learning, adapting and improving. We understand that great teaching inspires great learning for our students to benefit the most.

In faith, hope and love,

Dear Parents & Carers,

Bishop Joe has announced some changes of clergy across the Diocese of Cairns, including a change for our own Parish.

From10 June, Fr Nathan McKay will be transitioning from Parish Priest at our parish, Our Lady Help of Christians, Earlville, to take up the new role as Parish Priest in Tully.  Fr Nathan has been a valued presence at our College events and has served as a respected ex-officio member of our College Board.  We sincerely thank Fr Nathan for the care, support, and time he has shared with our St Mary’s community.

Taking on the role of Parish Priest, Earlville will be Fr James Thazhoor, currently Parish Priest in Mareeba.  We look forward to getting to know Fr James and continuing the strong connection we share with our Earlville Parish.  Please keep Fr Nathan, Fr James, and all our priests in your prayers during this time of transition.
