Throw Back Concert
On Thursday night three of the College rock bands joined 5 other schools to participate in a regional performance at Hume Secondary College. Entitled Throw Back, the concert featured music from 2000 to 2009. Our bands demonstrated musical skill and dedication. The audience was appreciative. One parent shared that “Overnewton shined”.
Congratulations to the bands for representing the College with excellence.

Recording Sessions
On Saturday, the rock band Radium and the Jazz Band took part in professional video and sound recording sessions for their entries in the Harwyn 'Rocking the Nation' competition. It was an exciting opportunity for students to experience the recording process. Three of the four songs recorded were original student compositions. We eagerly await the final cut.

On Monday 27th April a smorgasbord of excellent and entertaining music will be presented at the Clocktower Centre in Moonee Ponds.
Many of our ensembles will provide a “taster” of their 2026 repertoire.
There will be a snippet of the College musical, Oliver! and ensemble leaders will emcee to provide a foreshadowing of 2026 performances.
Ticket details will be sent to participants’ families soon.
