SRC News

The SRC has been busy finding ways to improve the school community. A highlight was meeting our new Principal, Ms Thornton, where students received their SRC badges and shared feedback using the Keep, Stop, Start strategy. Suggestions included continuing successful fundraising events and finding ways to make the SRC more visible around the school. The SRC has also had input on school-wide projects, from selecting furniture for new buildings to preparing for an upcoming e-audit of digital infrastructure and offering ideas for improving outdoor spaces.

The SRC has supported important events this term, including the Mother’s Day Classic, a Term 2 Casual Dress Day to raise funds for cancer research, and the upcoming end-of-term Footy Dress-Up. The SRC has supported student creativity by running the Gecko Yearbook Cover Competition through assemblies and school-wide announcements. Early next term, SRC representatives will meet the Mayor to talk about local council matters and connect students with the community.
