Jewish Care Young Achievers Program
The Young Achievers Program is a group-based mentoring and skills development program for Jewish students between the ages of 15-18 from non-Jewish and Jewish schools. The year-long program aims to support young people in the Jewish community to achieve their full potential through one to one mentoring and workshops. The program is privately funded and there is no cost associated with participation. Successful applicants are matched with a volunteer mentor who provides ongoing guidance and support throughout the year. Participants attend monthly workshops to build skills and social connections, and at the end of the year can apply for an academic scholarship of up to $500. This program is highly regarded and places are limited.
The program is open to young people who:
- are highly motivated and goal-oriented,
- would like to stretch themselves further,
- feel they will benefit from the guidance and support of a mentor (e.g. for career or personal development),
- are in Year 10-12, and
- identify as Jewish.
- Need a supportive safe space
Applications close on Thursday October 16, with interviews to take place on October 26, 27, and 28.
