Specialists Term Overview

Music

Foundation will continue to work on the beat and this term focus on the difference between Beat and Rhythm. They will learn specifically about the percussion family with our KABOOM incursion being a highlight THURSDAY JULY 16 

They will learn songs and perform puppet plays ( Little Red Hen) using puppets as the characters.

Physical Education

In PE this term, students will be further developing their understanding of their motor skills. More emphasis will be placed on developing proper running techniques, to prepare them for their upcoming Mini Olympics Day in Term 4.

Art

This term, Foundation students will investigate Mixed Media Construction and Collage. The curriculum focuses on developing "cutting and pasting" skills and exploring how to build simple 3D forms. Students will experiment with a variety of textures and materials to understand how to assemble and layer different elements within their art.

Steam

In Steam this term, students will investigate how different materials behave when subjected to movement, force and speed. Through hands-on design challenges, students will predict, test and evaluate how materials perform, using familiar construction resources such as LEGO and other classroom materials.
