Our inquiry topic this term is a Biological Science unit: ‘Where Does Our Food Come From and How Do We Grow It? 

 Students will explore where food comes from and how plants grow through a range of activities. They will be involved in planting, growing, recording and observing changes in plants grown in the classroom. Students will investigate how food is grown, harvested, prepared and shared and develop an understanding of healthy, sustainable food systems. We will also be discussing healthy food and healthy choices. The unit of work will culminate in students creating a healthy plate of food and be able to explain the reason for their choices and the origin of the food chosen.
