Premiers Reading Challenge

The Premier’s Reading Challenge for 2026 has begun. This is a literacy engagement program that was introduced by the Premier in 2004 to encourage students to read more books, enjoy reading, and help improve literacy levels.

 The Challenge requires students to read 12 books between the beginning of the school year and early September.  

To complete the Premier’s Reading Challenge students, need to read 12 books between week 1, term 1 and week 7 term 3.

 Every student will need a Student Reading Record. This is available from the school library. Please start choosing books and recording your reading.

 Reading can take you anywhere, through adventures, mysteries, history, fantasy worlds and beyond. Challenge yourself, discover new stories, and be part of the Premier’s Reading Challenge in 2026.
