School Council Election

At the close of nominations we had received the following nominations:

Parents:

Dale Cheesman

Staff:

Ben Parker

As the number of nominations is less than or equal to the number of vacancies, I declare all nominees elected to the 2026 School Council.

Call for Nominations

We made a further call for nominations in the: parent category for three positions, which are now closed.  Information will be sent to parents early next week if an election is required.

Parent Contributions

We appreciate the ongoing support our families provide each year through financial contributions. These contributions play a vital role in helping the school deliver high‑quality programs, enhanced student support, and a safe learning environment.

As outlined for parents in the recent Information Evenings, the majority of the requested payments are used to purchase the material and resources the children use in the classroom and specialist programs.  We appreciate parents making these payments to support these programs.

As also shared with parents, the First Aid request assists School Council to ensure our school nurse is onsite for as long as we can each day.  This enables classroom teachers and parents to have the confidence that the students' health and wellbeing is being supported to a very high standard, and that teachers can concentrate on teaching.  We are incredibly lucky to have this resource at our school.

Likewise, the Maintenance request enables us to maintain the physical environment of the school, ensuring our buildings and grounds are both well presented and safe.  The Department funds major works but we are responsible for the day to day maintenance of our buildings and grounds, having a maintenance worker onsite enables these tasks to be completed in a more timely manner.

The Library and Building Funds are tax deductible funds with very specific intentions. They both assist School Council to provide the high quality environment we enjoy.

The budget set by School Council is developed using both the contributions made by parents and the funding provided by the Department.

Each month the School Council monitors the collection of Parent Contributions and tracks our spending.  While we have unfortunately seen a decline in contributions in recent years, we are genuinely grateful for any support families are able to provide.

To view or make your parent contribution payment, simply log in to Compass, navigate to the Payments Centre, and select More Information to see itemised contributions and available payment options.

Thank you for your continued support.
