Volunteering at Malvern Primary School

As discussed at the recent Information Sessions, we are trialling a revised induction process for volunteers this year.  It is hoped that the new process will enable volunteers to undertake the process in the comfort of their own home and at a pace that works for them.

The volunteer roles our community members are engaged in include (but not limited to):

School Council membership

School Council Committees

Parents' Association

Parents' Association Committees

Working Bees

Camps

Excursions

Spring Fair

Classroom support

Sausage Sizzles

Taking photographs for school activities.

The induction covers OHS, Child Safety, Roles and Responsibilities, privacy, etc.

As our Year 6s are the only level that requires volunteers this term, we are beginning the trial with them.  Once we have used the process successfully we will send the link to all families in the community.  Please watch your COMPASS notifications and emails for the Induction video.

We would like to encourage all families to complete the induction, just in case they happen to volunteer during the year in any capacity.

The video will take about 35 minutes in total to watch.  The time required to complete the Google Form will depend on the tasks each person needs to complete, but should not be more than 15-20 minutes.  The video and form can be completed all at once or over several sittings.
