St Martha’s Shines at the Sydney Catholic Schools’ Eisteddfod

St Martha’s students displayed wonderful talent and dedication at this year’s Sydney Catholic Schools’ Eisteddfod, proudly representing our school across both ensemble and solo categories.

Four of our ensemble groups - the Choir, Stage 3 Concert Band, Extension Band and Extension Strings - performed with enthusiasm, teamwork and musicality. We are delighted to share that both the Stage 3 Concert Band and the Extension Band received Highly Commended awards, recognising their strong performances and commitment to rehearsals.

A special congratulations goes to Ian Z (Year 3), who represented St Martha’s in the solo section during the April school holidays. Ian was awarded Highly Commended for his Contemporary Piano Solo (Grade 2) - a fantastic achievement. Our Choir also earned an Encouragement Award, celebrating the collective effort of our singers.

We are incredibly proud of all students who participated. Their hard work, courage and love of music were evident in every performance, and they represented St Martha’s with pride.

A huge thank you to our Music teacher, Mrs Mesic-Lee, and our Amadeus Tutors, Mr Sim, Mr Roy, Ms Fluke, Mr Jack, Mr Ng and Mr Kim for their preparation and unwavering support of our young musicians.
