Mallee Sky

Year 2 students have been exploring the text Mallee Sky to develop their understanding of imagery, personification, and connotation. Through class discussions and writing activities, students explored how authors use descriptive language to create vivid pictures and meaning for the reader.

As part of this learning, students identified nouns from the story and transformed them into detailed descriptive sentences using rich vocabulary and imaginative ideas. We have loved seeing students grow in confidence as they experimented with language to bring their writing to life.
