Year 7 Camp Stella & Terra
On Monday the 24th of February, the Year 7s in Stella and Terra departed for camp.
After a long 2 hour bus ride, we arrived at Alexandra Adventure Resort.
After finding out our cabins and unpacking our luggage, we were separated into our activity groups. We had a day and a half to fit in 9 activities, plus a quiz night and disco!
Most people thought the giant swing, flying fox and canoeing were among their favourites. The High ropes activity was definitely a favourite too, although some people chose to stick to solid ground. The food was quite good.
On Wednesday, during the bus ride home, we stopped at Healesville Sanctuary to see kangaroos, echidnas, emus and many other animals before watching a brilliant bird show.
Then we ate our lunch and finally headed home.
Thanks to the teachers for organising this wonderful camp!(Marion)
Camp was amazing! We got to do fun things and the teachers gave us some freedom! The instructors were really funny, and they gave delicious food and taught us well on how to use the equipment. My personal favourite was the canoeing where the instructors let us capsize! Camp was the best experience so far! (Zack)
Year Seven Camp was a great way for me to meet new people through fun activities and cabin arrangements. By far, the highlights of my experience were the Giant Swing and the disco! Thank you VBC staff for organising this awesome event for us. (Heidi)
I loved going upside down on the giant swing and flying fox. Camp was so much fun. (Zoe)
I enjoyed all the water activities, as it was such a cool down in the hot weather. (Alison)
