Year 9 Lead Please Support Our Students

Dear Viewbank Community,

Please see the following request for donations for Lead Projects.

Project Team 1:

We are part of a Year 9 group working to support 300 Blankets, a charity that provides aid to those experiencing homelessness. We are seeking donations of decent-quality items that can be included in care packages. Pre owned clothes and blankets in good condition are accepted as well.

Our Goal: We aim to create care packages with essential items to support people experiencing homelessness in our community.

We would greatly appreciate donations of the following items:

  • Clothing (e.g. jackets, hats, gloves, scarves)
  • Socks (new and unused)
  • Blankets
  • Sanitary Items (e.g. menstrual products, feminine hygiene wipes)
  • Soap and Hygiene Products (e.g. toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, floss, toilet paper)
  • Books (Educational ones would be great)

Donations can be dropped off at the school office beginning March 3rd and will be accepted until March 31st.

Thank you for your kindness and consideration. Together, we can make a positive impact!

Project Team 2:

As part of our Year 9 LEAD passion project, our aim is to help people within the Banyule community who are struggling and need basic hygiene and material products. These people struggle to find these things, due to countless reasons including lack of money and domestic violence. It’s important to help them in their time of need. We are organising a donation for care packages that we can send to a charity that will provide them to the homeless. There will be a box in the office for donations from 4th March to the 5th of May.

Items include-

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Deodorant (roll-on preferred)
  • Period products
  • Soap or body wash
  • Blankets (maybe)

Project Team 3:

Hey everyone!

As you may or may not have noticed, many of us year 9’s are doing some passion projects for LEAD. Of these projects, some people are figuring out ways to help with the Melbourne / Victorian homelessness crisis.

To fight this, please consider donating to Foodbank Victoria, or any charity that you can.

Whether it’s a physical donation of supplies or an online donation of $5, anything well and truly helps, so please consider doing something if you wish to help.
