NAIDOC WEEK EVENT

NAIDOC WEEK COMMUNITY CELEBRATION - IMAGINE FILM SCREENING

Students and families are invited to attend a special NAIDOC Week celebration hosted by Regen Gippsland in partnership with Bass Coast Shire Council, Bunurong Land Council, Bass Coast South Gippsland Reconciliation Group, AIME and Kindred Spirits Enterprises.

The event will feature a screening of Imagine, an Indigenous-led film created during lockdown by more than 400 people from around the world, including 150 young people. The film explores the power of creativity, imagination and collective thinking, encouraging viewers to reflect on the future we want to create for the generations that follow.

This community event provides a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate culture, share stories and engage in meaningful conversations as we approach NAIDOC Week.

Event Details – Tuesday 1 July, Wonthaggi

• 12:30pm – Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony at Apex Park

• 1:30pm – Imagine film screening at Wonthaggi Cinema

• 2:50pm – Community yarn and discussion in the cinema foyer
