"GAP GOLD"
Student Achievement - Thomas Maegaard

At The Gap State High School, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of Year 12 student Thomas Maegaard, who has recently graduated as part of the first cohort of our Trade Training Centre (TTC) at Mitchelton.
Thomas successfully completed his Certificate II in Plumbing and was also recognised with an award for his outstanding commitment, strong work ethic and focus throughout his unpaid work experience placements, a key component of the course. His dedication has been evident every step of the way, and his family, Emily and Scott, are incredibly proud of all he has achieved.
We were delighted to welcome Councillor Steve Toomey to join us at the graduation ceremony, where we celebrated this significant milestone alongside Thomas and his peers.
Currently in Year 12, Thomas is on track to complete his senior studies at the end of the year and is aspiring to pursue a career in plumbing. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to McGrath & Frisby for supporting Thomas through his work experience. Their partnership, along with Thomas’ own initiative in securing this opportunity, has played an important role in his success.
