Jobe Van Berkel and Elijah Kinning are our two students in the Made for a Trade (M4AT) Semester 1 Program. Participants in the program gain hands on practical experience across a range of trades and careers through TAFE NSW, RIEP (Regional Industry Education Partnerships - Training Services NSW) and GTES. For each M4AT program, students attend training in a different discipline area each Friday at TAFE, with one day as an industry day.

 Steve Forbes-Taber, Careers Adviser, said,

'I was supervising along with a few other careers advisers from other schools, and our two young lads were standouts above the rest of the cohort on this day! They regularly engaged enthusiastically with host employers, and with GTES staff and led the way in asking questions and showing appreciation to everyone for their time.'

During the event, the students visited the following companies to learn about their operations and career opportunities. The tour included, Wagga Motors, Daimler Trucks, Nixons Engineering, Matt Campbell Constructions, GTES and RIC Electrics.

We love hearing about our Alumni. During the Made for a Trade program, current students and teacher, Mr Steve Forbes-Taber, crossed paths with three former Wagga Wagga Christian College students working at Nixon Engineering.

The former students completed Year 10 at our College and gained an apprenticeship

with Nixon Engineering. From all accounts, they are thriving. We congratulate these young men, on pursuing their passion and being successful at securing an apprenticeship.
