Congratulations to Haven Poutu on her outstanding basketball achievement! Haven has been selected for the Primary Girls CIS (Combined Independent Schools) team. She will now go on to compete in the PSSA (Primary Schools Sports Association) Basketball Championships in Sydney!

Haven performed exceptionally well throughout the selection process, standing out for her accurate shooting, strong defensive play, and impressive ability to read the game. This is a fantastic accomplishment and one that is thoroughly deserved. Haven’s dedication, hard work, and consistently high level of sportsmanship make her a wonderful representative of our College. We wish her the very best at the championships.

Our Senior Boys and Girls teams competed in the Fast 5 Netball competition on Monday  16 March and represented the College with outstanding teamwork, determination and sportsmanship.

Throughout the day, both teams demonstrated strong communication, resilience, and a never-give-up attitude. Their ability to work together and strategically use the Fast 5 Power Play to their advantage helped them progress through the rounds undefeated and secure a place in the semi-finals.

The semi-final was against Wade High School (last year’s champs) who proved to be a tough contest. After a challenging first half, our teams showed great composure and determination, fighting their way back into the game. With strong defense and strategic shooting, they managed to turn the match around and claim a well-earned five-goal victory.

This win secured a place in the Grand Final against a tough Mater Dei team. It was an incredibly close and nail-biting match, with both teams playing at an extremely high level. In the end, our players held their nerve and came out on top, finishing one goal ahead to claim the championship.

Thanks to Polly for scoring for the day and our amazingly talented umpire Sophie Kerslake for her time and expertise! A special thank you to our parents and cheer squad!

Finally, a huge congratulations to all our players for their fantastic effort, teamwork and perseverance throughout the competition. There was a special mention from the conveyor about 'how lovely it is to see our students encourage and support one another and other teams too'. She is always impressed with our students. You all represented the College with pride! I am proud of each one of you for who you are on the court and off. Bravo!

If you would like to see our trophy, it is on display in the main College Office.

Congratulations to Madysen Fleming (Year 7) who travelled to Albury last weekend to compete at the Albury Wodonga Karting Club Championship Round 1. This was her first race in Junior Heavy Category (12-15 years old). Madysen managed to Pole, win Heats 1 and 2, came 2nd in Heat 3 and ultimately won the Final. What an amazing achievement especially as Madysen is on the younger side of the Junior Heavy Category.

Madysen has been karting since she was 8 years old and is a member of the Griffith, Albury and Wagga Wagga Clubs. She says, ‘she enjoys the adrenaline rush of going fast when racing, the karting community, making friends across Australia and spending time with her family.

In January, Madysen competed in the only National Race for women, a fund raiser for Breast Cancer Awareness Australia. Madysen was awarded the Princess of Pink Plate for raising the most amount of funds for the event ($5200). Madysen enjoyed the experience and is looking forward to Pink Plate 2027 and hopefully being on the podium as a race winner.

Congratulations Madysen, we look forward to following you as pursue your passion for karting and helping others.
