VET
We are nearly at the end of the 2026 VET year.
Most students will finish their VET courses in the last week of October. Some students will be invited to complete additional units to fully complete their certificates and their teachers will confirm this with them closer to the end of the normal VET program.
The 2027 VET Enrolment process will be completed in early term 4 and it has been very pleasing to see that most students have completed their applications in a timely manner and most will be able to secure the VET course of their choice. This will be confirmed verbally with students mid term 4. Students will receive a confirmation/welcome letter in mid December that will confirm their VET course, it’s location, start date, times, clothing requirements etc.
Students can expect to receive their end of year VET reports in the middle to end of November and certificates or statements of attainments toward the end of December.
If students need their results earlier to pass on to prospective employers please pop into the VET office and we can organize results to be fast tracked.
Term 3 in our VET courses have been very busy, below are a few snapshots of students doing their thing:
Our Certificate II in Community Services visited Fare Share in Abbotsford and assisted making meals for many charities that provide hot food in the community.

The first year Certificate III in Sports, Aquatics and Recreation students visited the Victorian Institute of Sport and the MCG.

Our first year Certificate III in Health Services Assistant students visited the Baptcare Wattle Grove Aged Care facility in Lalor and met some really lovely elderly residents, had a chat and played some games with them.

Our Health Services students also learned how to put on hospital PPE

Second year Business students worked in teams to build structures using pasta, marshmallows and string. (not too many marshmallows were left at the end of this team building activity)

Second Year Sports, Aquatics and Recreation students went to the Kokoda Memorial Walk, 1000 steps in Tremont.

Salon Assistance students completed styling, and tinting using their “Melissa” heads

And…… Our Second year Beauty students finished their Manicure and Pedicure unit
