ACYF - Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF)

A national gathering of Catholic young people established by the Australian Bishops more than ten years ago.

Run over three days, the Festival provides young people from all across Australia with the opportunity to come together to connect, deepen their relationship with Jesus, be empowered to live their faith in the world and experience the breadth of the Church in Australia.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne is excited to be hosting ACYF from 30 November – 2 December 2025 and is looking forward to welcoming thousands of young people to Melbourne.

The College will be supporting 8 students from  year 11 who have applied to attend this conference. Each day will include the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities including prayer, Mass, workshops, talks, live concerts, games, justice issues and an interactive expo. The College will host a series of fundraising activities to support these students, starting this week with a mufti day on Friday, 8 August.

Feast of Mary Mackillop - 8 August (Brownie Day)

The day started with a prayer in the classroom focusing on Mary Mackillop, Australia’s first saint who continues to inspire young people today.

"Never see a need without doing something about it."

This quote encapsulates Mary’s dedication to social justice and education for all people working with those in society who were marginalised.

To help celebrate the day the year 7 students baked brownies and sold them at recess and lunch for $2 each.

Each term the Year 5 and 6 students from St Francis de Sales and St Aloysius Primary schools are invited to the College for a night of fun, friends and faith.
